Account and Subscription
This page covers everything related to your account settings, subscription plans, credits, and billing.
Account Settings
Access your account by clicking the person icon in the top-right corner of the toolbar.
Profile Information
Your account page shows:
- Username (your email address)
- First name and Last name
- Company (if provided during registration)
Theme
Lidarvisor offers three visual themes:
- Light — a light background, easier in bright environments
- Dark — a dark background (the default), easier on the eyes in dim environments
- Neon — a dark background with neon purple/blue accents
Switch themes from Account → Settings. The theme applies to the entire interface including the 3D viewer.
Language
Lidarvisor is available in:
- English
- French
Switch languages from Account → Settings. The change applies to all text in the interface — menus, buttons, labels, error messages, and tooltips.
Guided Tours
You can replay the interactive onboarding tours at any time from the Account panel:
- Replay welcome tour — the introductory tour of the workspace
- Replay point cloud tour — the tour that appears after your first point cloud loads
- Replay post-processing tour — the tour that appears after your first processing completes
Logging Out
Click Logout in the account panel to end your session.

The Freemium plan is designed to let you try the platform with a real dataset and see exactly what Lidarvisor can do for your workflow. The 10 hectares of credits are enough to process a typical small survey site end-to-end — including classification, terrain models, vectors, and reports.

Annual Billing
Choosing annual billing saves approximately 33% compared to monthly billing. You pay for the full year upfront.

How Credits Work
Credits are the currency you use to process data in Lidarvisor.
1 credit = 1 hectare of processed data.
(1 hectare ≈ 2.5 acres, or roughly 100 m × 100 m)
How Credits Are Consumed
When you click "Process Data," Lidarvisor calculates the area of your dataset in hectares (based on the spatial extent of your point cloud). That number of credits is deducted from your balance.
- The credit cost is the same regardless of how many processing options you enable. Whether you generate just a DTM or every product available, the credit cost is the same.
- Before processing starts, a confirmation dialog shows you exactly how many credits will be consumed.
Credit Allocation
- Freemium: 10 credits granted once at account creation.
- Premium and Advanced: Credits are allocated at the start of each billing period (monthly or yearly).
Credit Rollover
Unused credits roll over to the next billing period as long as your subscription is active. If you do not use all 100 credits in January, they carry over to February.
Credit Expiration
- While your subscription is active, credits do not expire.
- After cancellation, remaining credits stay valid for 90 days.
Failed Processing Refunds
If processing fails (due to an error, not a user mistake), your credits are automatically refunded — no action needed on your part.
Checking Your Balance
You can see your current credit balance:
- In the Account panel under My Subscription
- In the confirmation dialog before processing
Credit Packs (Top-Ups)
Need more credits than your monthly allowance? Premium and Advanced subscribers can purchase additional credit packs:

Note: Credit packs require an active Premium or Advanced subscription.
Subscribing, Upgrading, and Managing
Subscribing
- Click the Subscribe button in the top toolbar (or go to the Pricing page on lidarvisor.com).
- Choose your plan (Premium or Advanced) and billing interval (monthly or annual).
- You will be redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page to enter payment information.
- After payment, your subscription is activated immediately and you receive your credits.
Viewing Your Subscription
Go to Account → My Subscription to see:
- Plan name
- Start date and end date
- Status (Active, Suspended, etc.)
- Billing interval (monthly or yearly)
- Credits available
- Next renewal date
- Maximum file sizes for your plan
- Maximum total storage for your plan
Upgrading
You can upgrade from Freemium to Premium, or from Premium to Advanced, at any time. Go to the Pricing page or click the Subscribe button in the toolbar.
Cancelling
- Go to Account → My Subscription.
- Click Unsubscribe.
- A multi-step cancellation flow guides you:
- Step 1: Select a reason (too expensive, not using enough, missing features, switching tool, temporary break, other) and optionally provide feedback.
- Step 2: Lidarvisor may offer a retention option based on your reason (e.g., pausing your subscription for 1–3 months if you just need a break).
- Step 3: Review what changes — what credits remain, what features you lose, what you keep.
- Step 4: Final confirmation.
After cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- Remaining credits stay valid for 90 days after expiration.
- Your projects and data are preserved — you can still view them, but you cannot process new data without credits.
Reverting a Cancellation
Changed your mind? Before your subscription expires:
- Go to Account → My Subscription.
- Click Reactivate my subscription. Your subscription will continue as if you never cancelled.
Pausing (Monthly Plans Only)
If you need a temporary break:
- During the cancellation flow, choose "Temporary break" as your reason.
- You will be offered the option to pause for 1, 2, or 3 months.
- During the pause, your subscription is suspended — no charges, no credit allocation.
- After the pause period ends, your subscription automatically resumes.
Note: Pausing is only available for monthly subscriptions. Annual subscriptions cannot be paused.
Resuming a Suspended Subscription
If your subscription was paused or suspended:
- Go to Account → My Subscription.
- Click Resume subscription.
Payment and Billing
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Lidarvisor does not store your credit card details — Stripe handles all payment information.
- You will receive email receipts from Stripe for each payment.
Enterprise Plans
For organizations with large-scale needs, Lidarvisor offers custom enterprise plans with:
- Higher credit volumes
- Custom storage limits
- Dedicated support
- Custom development options

Data Ownership and Privacy
- You retain full ownership of all data you upload.
- Lidarvisor does not share your data with third parties.
- Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform with enterprise-grade security.
