If You Forget Your Password

Login Security
Lidarvisor protects your account with rate limiting:
- After 3 failed attempts, a CAPTCHA (a small puzzle or checkbox) appears to verify you are human.
- After 5 failed attempts, your login is temporarily locked. Wait a few minutes and try again.
Your First Look: The Workspace
After logging in, you will see the main workspace. This is where you will spend most of your time. Here is what you will find:
The 3D Viewer (Center)
The large central area is a 3D viewer powered by Cesium. This is where your point clouds and results will appear. When you first log in, it shows an empty globe or dark background.
Top Toolbar
A bar across the top of the screen with these buttons:
| Button | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Create a project | Opens a panel to upload your LiDAR file and create a new project |
| My projects | Opens a list of all your projects (including demo projects) |
| Share | Generates a shareable link for the currently loaded project |
| Account (person icon) | Opens your account settings, subscription info, and logout |
| Subscribe / plan name | Shows your current plan or lets you upgrade |
Left Panel (Project Detail)
When you load a project, a panel appears on the left showing:
- The project tree — a list of all assets (point clouds, terrain models, vectors, reports) with checkboxes to show or hide them
- Processing options — where you choose what analysis to run
- Processing status — shows progress when processing is active
Right Panel
Opens when you click buttons in the top toolbar:
- Create a project panel
- My projects list
- Share link
- Account settings
Map Buttons (Left Side)
A column of small buttons next to the left panel:
- Center view (crosshair) — zooms to fit your data
- Measure (ruler) — opens measurement tools
- Elevation profile (terrain) — draw a cross-section line
- Background map — cycles through map backgrounds (none, Bing satellite, Cesium satellite)
- 2D / 3D toggle — switch between top-down and perspective views
The Welcome Tour
The first time you log in, Lidarvisor walks you through an interactive guided tour that highlights each part of the interface. You can replay this tour at any time from the Account panel by clicking Replay welcome tour.
There are three tours in total, each appearing at the right moment:
- Welcome tour — shown on first login, introduces the workspace layout
- Point cloud ready tour — shown after your first point cloud finishes loading, introduces viewer tools
- Post-processing tour — shown after your first processing completes, introduces the results and sharing
Demo Projects
Lidarvisor includes demo projects — pre-loaded datasets you can explore immediately without uploading anything. You will see them at the top of your My projects list, marked with a "default" badge.
Click View on any demo project to load it in the 3D viewer and see what processed results look like. This is a great way to familiarize yourself with the platform before uploading your own data.
Free Account (Freemium Plan)
When you create an account, you automatically get the Freemium plan which includes:
- 10 hectares of processing credits (one-time, does not renew)
- Up to 5 projects
- 2 GB of storage
- Maximum upload size: 2 GB per LAS file, 400 MB per LAZ file
This is enough to try the platform with a small dataset. See Account and Subscription for details on paid plans.
Themes and Language
Lidarvisor supports three visual themes and two languages:
- Themes: Light, Dark (default), and Neon
- Languages: English and French
To change these, go to Account (person icon in the top toolbar) → Settings.
System Requirements
Lidarvisor runs entirely in your web browser. You need:
- A modern web browser: Google Chrome (recommended), Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Apple Safari
- A stable internet connection for uploading files and loading 3D data
- A computer with a dedicated graphics card is recommended for the smoothest 3D experience, but not required
No software installation is needed.
